I don’t ever remember my mom yelling at me and using my full name. I wonder if that happened to my brother. Most people who have nicknames or even better middle names, apparently, when they were in trouble, their parents would use their full names to yell at them. And to make them know that they (the parents) were serious.
Tried to pay my GD ticket, again. At least there was someone at the Court this time. But there was also a sign saying that their credit card machine was not working. I asked the person what that was about and they gave me a long boring answer along the lines of “IT hasn’t fixed the issue.” They then said I could pay with cash if I wanted. Sigh. I do not want to pay with cash. If I can put it on my mileage credit card, which I pay off every month, then I get miles for this stupid crappy tickets. $93 just in court fees! That is ludicrous!!
I think my Thanksgiving menu, since I will probably be making dinner for myself alone that day (which I am not in the least upset about) will be: Turkey, Turkey Stove Top Stuffing, Turkey Gravy, Cranberry sauce (which I will make from frozen cranberries), Brussels sprouts, acorn squash and romanoff potatoes (new to me recipe). So excited!!
Maybe the musical “instrument” I will try next is the Theremin…Why are they so expensive! The least expensive I found was around $300. Poo. Maybe I will just practice my one song on the piano to get this desire for leraning an instrument out of my blood.
Well, that was a surprise. I ended up just doing one not so great dash today. I was going to do a second one, it was my plan. But…it was raining. And I didn’t really need to do one. I mean, another $50 or so would always be welcome… yet it was so nice to not do another one. I basically stayed home and did stuff. Read a good bit of my Rivers of London book. I did quite a few of the “thoughts” in the thought database. I think I still have around 300 to go. I played a bit on my phone. And yes, I turned the heat up. Some like it warm. All in all, much more pleasant than going out and dashing in the cold and possibly rainy day/night.
It is going to be a full weekend. Which means I probably won’t go to the Cracker Factory on Sunday night. Tomorrow night I get to have dinner with JC and EC. EC is cooking some sort of pasta. I need to take her flowers. I am also hoping to find copies of my two books to take to JC. I obviously have copies of Bar Dreams now. I just need to find the three or four boxes of Diary of a Plate Addict and get one of those for him as well. Saturday, I have dinner with SM. I am going to suggest Avicolli’s and The Red Brick Tavern – both in Seneca Falls. (She agreed to the Red Brick Tavern)
Next week, I guess I will be doing some uber like work. A couple of longish drives with someone I haven’t met yet. If they happen. And dashing, of course. Oh, and possibly another ride or two for SM. I am not sure of the dates for her rides at this point.

Last night of the leftovers from Phoenix Flavors. I thought I would finish last night, but that didn’t happen. I think I will add some Sriracha to tonight’s dinner. And a little side salad. So not excited. But it will be a step up from fodder.
Augustus for President: I am enjoying going through my thoughts document/database. The database makes it so much easier to categorize things. After I finish the first go round, I will look at what I have characterized things as and maybe make some more categories, so i don’t have 100-300 “random” thoughts. Some things could be two thoughts though – so maybe I will add a secondary category list. It is good that I have actually already accomplished a few of the things in the database. Woo hoo! Now, if only I could start bringing more people on board.
I called my first travel agent today. She hasn’t called back. I will give her until tomorrow to call back. Then I will look further afield. Should I look for a travel professional, or for a personal or executive assistant?
