Not my hair. My hair is lustrous, recently washed and fluffed! Woo hoo! No, it is today’s first dashing shift that was lackluster. Actually all this week’s dashes have been less than average in terms of financial earnings. Poo. Hopefully the week will pick up. Maybe there are too many dashers again. Or there are too few people ordering from Door Dash. Who knows? I certainly don’t.
The electrician flaked. Again. Grrr. It has been a few months since he put in the new panel. And he doesn’t seem to want to bring his hired hands to do the remaining labeling work. Which he ought to do, imho. Sigh. I am way too nice.
I made sauces at lunch today. I watched a good video on making restaurant style egg rolls and in that video he also talked about making duck sauce and the hot mustard sauce that sometimes comes with egg rolls from the restaurant. I used raspberry jam instead of apricot preserves. And did not add apple sauce, as I, sadly, ate up what little applesauce I had last night. I am planning on having Chinese food for dinner tonight, including an egg roll, so thought that making the sauces would be a good idea. I also took the opportunity to make up some more caesar salad dressing. Now I can’t wait for dinner time…
And now it is has gotten late. How did that happen?
The second dash was not optimal – two declines and a lot of not very lucrative rides. Oh well. Tomorrow is another day.
Who likes waiting for someone to call them back? No one. No one likes that. I am waiting for three call backs (calls back?), at least. And will call again tomorrow. Why not? What have I got to lose except sleep?
I did laundry today! I have not done it in a bit. And I still haven’t run out of clean stuff. Not a good sign. Way too much stuff in my world. Anyway, it is all folded even. Ready to go upstairs and be put away. Someday. I did come across a $5 bill in the wash today! Pennies from heaven. Or something like that.

Tonight I had a Chinese-esque dinner. I bought General Tso’s Chicken from La Choy. Turned out to basically be saucy nugs. Not nearly thick and gooey enough I don’t think. With it I had one of my frozen eggrolls. With my homemade duck sauce. That turned out decently. The mustard, not so much. I might just stick with Dijon.
Ok, so the launch date of the IFT has been teased for the 13th of October, which is less than a week away. I doubt I will fly down there if that is what happens. I mean, seriously, most of us need time to arrange travel and can’t travel at the drop of the hat without breaking the bank. So to speak. Grrr.
I think that’s two grrrr’s (now three) in one post. I guess I am holding onto a lot of residual anger over daddy issues. Or not.
There we have it. I think I will do accounts tomorrow at lunch time during the brightness of the day. Back to Invasion on Apple TV.
