My mom was really good at making photo albums for a few years. Lots and lots of them. And a bunch of empty ones which show she intended to make more of them. But didn’t. Anyone want any of the unused photo albums? On that note, what is going to happen to memories that we snapped on people’s phones? Weird to think about.
Well, that was a waste of a morning. I just sat and looked at my phone for so many hours I lost track. I will be more productive this afternoon. I mean, getting out of bed would make me more productive.
Someone on threads or instagram said that if one doesn’t speak out about the horrible craziness that is happening in the US and the world, than one is not doing their part. Is she right? Should I say more about that sort of thing here? I do a lot of that on social media already. And this blog is more about the daily happenings in my sometimes boring, sometimes fun and exciting, life. I’ll think on it.
The afternoon did make up for the lethargy of the morning. I started with the low hanging fruit. First, I put in the screw eyes in the back entry way and bungie corded the ladder to the wall. That way it won’t fall on me or anyone else as readily as was its wont. I next proceeded to cut up the chicken pot pie I made last night and put the pieces in freezer bags. More stuff in the deep freeze that I can eat instead of buying food. Yay? And I printed out the three blank calendar pages that I wanted to print out. Woo hoo!
That made me feel better about being able to actually accomplish things. I went on to do other stuff. Most notably for me was to go into my reminders and look for ones that had fallen through the cracks. How do they fall through the cracks you ask? Good question. What happens is that sometimes I forget to tell Siri when to schedule a reminder so it goes into a generic list of reminders. Or, I try to tell siri when to schedule the reminder and she doesn’t manage to parse it correctly so it goes to the generic list. I think I found ten or so that needed to be timed. Nothing too terrible though.
I also did some work on the Alice movie. I found an old public domain piece of music that I think I will use for the whole piece. It’s shorter than the movie, but I can use it a few times. I started adding captions to the titles in the movie because I created them with a difficult to read font. I am wondering if I ought to edit out the biggest film burns and things. I hope to have a good version of the movie ready to be posted by the end of January. I wonder if it will get any views.
I have done my Duolingo and am about to dine. I think I will unfreeze and heat up a piece of the chicken pot pie. And add a salad to that to make a meal.
Augustus for President: Some of the reminders I hadn’t given a time to were thoughts I had had about campaign related things. Most of those made it into the database.
The calendars I printed out were to help me figure out my itinerary for the 50+1 Capital Tour. I am debating adding some extra time on there when the drives are long but not impossibly so. I thought I might make the threshold 300+ miles to break up. But that would have added 14 days to the schedule, which is way longer than I wanted to spend on this trip. Especially since it will not really be a campaigning trip. I guess I will just have to get up and out earlier on some days if I want to be on a capital’s steps at 4 pm in each state.
Later, I worked on more badge looks. I sent them to the one person, so far, who has said she would be interested (willing?) to wear one. Should I give her some stickers too? I think not, because they have “I Met Augustus” on them. And that might not be true. I might ask her if she wants an NFC card. Though the badge now has a QR code on it, thanks to google chrome.
