Well, that wasn’t a great night’s sleep. Not sure why but I tossed and turned and had lots of little snippets of dreams/nightmares about Gossip Girl and Blake Lively. Which all morphed into something else. Very unrestful.
Yes, I started watching Gossip Girl. Lots of seasons. Very fluffy so I can do other stuff while it is on if I want to. I am waiting to do the books in the Red Room until after the roof is fixed in there. And I don’t want to do the books on the back staircase until I have done the ones in the Red Room. Though I might change that up. Though I don’t have anyone to paint the back stairs when I get the books all out of there. Certainly not my erstwhile helper.
Roofing, roofing, roofing! I called a few roofing people today. I have two more appointments set up. And Roderigo also reminded me of what he thought he could do the roof for ($25k) I will use him as the standard and go on from there. One place is coming tomorrow (Wednesday). One is coming Monday. And one said they can give me an estimate without coming out to see the place in person. I can’t wait. All in all, I will have lots of options. Oh, I found my Kanga Roof estimate which was for $44k, a bit less than the $51k that Erie Roof said they could do before all of the discounts. Moving on.
I might take Social Security before I reach my retirement age. I just saw a video on reasons one might want to take SS before one reaches their full benefit retirement age. I think that is my target age. It would be handy to have that income now – it would help me to get a better handle on my HELOC. And I might be able to invest some of it as well. Anyway, it is another thought. I will look into it more in the coming weeks. I can wait until January at least before doing anything.

Today was a two dash day. Neither dash had anything too exciting happen. And they were both only moderately profitable. Certainly not as good as Monday was. Life is that way sometimes.
I tried something new tonight – at KFC they had a Festive Feast deal. A bit on the pricey side but ok I guess overall – I haven’t done the math – but they didn’t give me the three dipping sauces that were supposed to be included. And it didn’t include either biscuits or a dessert. Not that I needed either of those, but I would have eaten them if they had been included. So, it includes six pieces of chicken (three legs, three thighs), six tenders, and two sides (and the three dipping sauces). I got mashed potatoes and coleslaw – apparently those are what most people get. I guess the person I spoke with about it yesterday was confused about what it contained (not surprising) – he said 12 pieces of chicken – which is correct if you count tenders as pieces of chicken. And I thought he said all of the sides. Oh well. Live and learn. I do have food for days now, though. Yay! (The manager gave me a free drink, so that was nice.)
Time to do some Duolingo and then look at my accounts. Unsurprisingly, Tesla stock is way up which makes me look a lot more rich than I feel. Though I have no idea what it would take to make me feel truly comfortable. Maybe the SS money would help…
