One Dynamite Lilac!

One decent one!!

It is errands and chores day! And the weather is brilliant! Woo hoo.

Guess who is actually sitting out on his glassed in side porch! That’s right, it is I, or me. But how did I get here? That is the story of the morning.

I woke up early this morning and went back to sleep. I didn’t need to get out until my regular time, even though I was not going to be doing my regular dashing duties. First up, take my bike to the bike place to get happy.

It turns out that I haven’t ridden my bike, nor used my bike rack, since I got my Tesla. I got the rack attached, barely, and somehow managed to lose the little strap that is used to help the front wheel not waggle around. Maybe the bike store has one I can purchase. (Yay!! I didn’t lose it. It was in the pocket of my shorts!) Anyway, I started to back up and the poor Tesla was confused and thought I was backing up into something. Sigh.

At the bike store, they suggested that I do a level two service, get a new chain, and get a spoke fixed on one of my wheels. It will be ready tomorrow.

Next stop, the bank And no, they had no $2s. What is up with that?

On my way to the grocery store, I dropped two books off at the library. I still have two on hand. The one I am reading now is, surprisingly, a post apocalypse novel. I haven’t gotten very far into it yet, but it is interesting. I have two more books on hold at the library. Both seem to be taking forever for the other people to read. Sigh.

I got home and started cleaning out my email – a weekly exercise. Down from 300+ to 24. I really need to clean out a few of those 24 as well. Someday.

Off to pick A up and take him to his car. He has to take it to Canandaigua for repairs. Why he is going so far, I have no idea. Later, I will be picking him up and returning him to Living Center. As I was driving home, I remembered what else I was planning on doing today: shopping!!

On my list – mostly just more curtain rods. I think if I am going to be spending a lot of time on the porch again this summer, which is definitely the plan, I thought it would be wise to hang a few curtains. I am starting with the window behind which I sit. And the two doors to the front porch. And while I was shopping, I bought an inexpensive TV for the porch. Way too many TVs in the house now. But I’m ok with that.

At home, I started to set up the TV and was going to put the curtain rods up. I discovered that my electric drill (for drilling pilot holes) didn’t have any juice. It is plugged in now. While waiting for that, I will continue setting up the new TV.

And all done for now with TV setup! Good thing I know my passwords!!

I am not a fan of spitting in general. I don’t do it a lot generally. But the DNA test that I am doing with Ancestry.com required me to expectorate into a tube. Fun times. I will drop that in the mail tonight. So excited to find out what sort of a mutt I truly am! Though apparently it may take as long as 6 weeks!

Ok, I have done my good deed for the day. Yes, I was paid for it, but it was still a good deed. Go me! Rah! Now all I want to do is make my pizza and wings for dinner. Which I will do soon.

It looks, according to the weather report, that my thought of spending more time on the porch will be a little premature. It looks like next week – or maybe even the next ten days (though, weather forecasts that far out aren’t always that accurate) the high temp is going in the high 50s. Which is way too cold to hang out on the porch – imho. Poo. I was hoping that summer weather was actually starting.

Ok, time to do a little Duolingo (very little) and then make dinner. So excited!

Fancy!

I was foiled from doing my yoga this morning as my boarder didn’t manage to close the outer porch door. For the umpteenth time. And because she didn’t close the inner door that well, it blew open which resulted in the living room turning into an ice box. Grrr and brrr. Hopefully I’ll do a light yoga at lunch time. (I didn’t)

I did two dashes today and they were both decent. The second one surprised me, which is actually a common dashing experience. The first 45 minutes I had nary an offer. So I thought that I would have a slow, low pay shift. But it ended up being one of the best shifts of the week fiscally. Who knew?

While dashing, I did a nice thing. I think it was nice. Why am I tooting my own horn? Because no one else really will. And I do lots of nice things for lots of people all the time. But this one touched on one of my pet peeves – places charging for air. I was heading out of Speedway and saw a gentleman who seemed confused about the air machine there. It had a credit card slot! I have no idea how much Speedway charges for air, but really, a credit card slot? One has to sell their first born to get air at Speedway? So I told the man about two places in town (Mavis Tire and Byrne Dairy) that have free air machines. I hope he availed himself of one of those. Grrr, paid air…

I am almost done with the main game of Wasteland 3. There are a couple of Downloadable Content add-ons that I am contemplating purchasing. They aren’t all that expensive. And I can download them through my xBox. But…what if I get bored halfway through them? And I am a little concerned that all of my critters and wacky companions (the fire lobbing golden toaster, the giant robot chicken, the clone) and the cool animal that I finally got (the honey badger) won’t be allowed and follow me into the DLCs. I read that I wouldn’t have access to the Ranger HQ any more after I played the last bit of the main game, which would mean no more clones if this one happens to die. Not that it is that big a loss. I mean, the honey badger is the one I am most eager to keep. All of my critters and companions – I think I have five animals and three of the special companions – make all my fights so easy!! Anyway, that is food for thought. Maybe I will think about it tomorrow. Tonight, if I play, I will tie up some loose ends in the game – like use up my Tarjan tokens and gain some extra perks for my characters. Etc.

Speaking of which, it is my Friday night! My first of two! So excited! I have left over Chinese food to eat again. Not bored of it yet. And tomorrow, definitely more pizza like stuff. I have to use up my pizza sauce before it goes bad. Since the weekend will be wet and chilly, I probably won’t do the beer exploration this weekend either. But I do have a few things that I would like to do. I would tell you, but then you might not check back to see if I had an interesting weekend or not…

Happy (regular people’s) Thursday! 🙂
