On the drive up, or maybe the day before while dashing, I can’t remember which, I saw the coolest looking camper trailer. It was silver, rounded in the front, with what looked like an escape hatch in the back. It was tear drop shaped from front to back. I think. It was unique looking. And my google search skills, or lack thereof, are not producing it. Sigh.
I did not pack well. Which comes from not checking my list, I am sure. I forgot my pool cue. One of the things that I enjoy doing up here is playing pool at the Front Street Pub. Luckily, a few years ago, I bought a pool cue and left it here. It is a regular house pool type cue. But way better than having to rely on finding a decent cue at the bar. I also forgot to check the charge on my portable waterpik like device. It has some charge so I am not terrible worried. If worse comes to worst, I will only brush my teeth if the charge runs out. Turns out that a USBA to USBC cable will work. Unfortunately I only have a USBC to USBC cable. Poo. But the other kind isn’t hard to find. The house here might even have one. (they don’t)
As time goes by, I will see if I am missing other things. I will need to do better when I take my big trip to all the capitals next year. (Fingers crossed)
Today, I got up and didn’t get out of bed until late. Then I headed off to run errands. I had a few in mind. First stop, the Hannaford grocery store and pharmacy to pick up a prescription for my sister. Next, getting an extension cord to plug in the car. There is an EV charger in town, but it does cost money. So if I can get some charge here at the house, all the better. It is throwing up an error message and I am not really sure what to do about that. It is charging, but really, really, really slowly. We shall see how much power it adds over night. It isn’t like I plan to do a lot of driving around here. Unless I decide to do some dashing. Though it looks like it is supposed to rain on Tuesday, when I thought I might actually do a short dash. (Poo)(I loathe dashing in the rain – especially in places with which I am not very familiar) My last errand, per se, was to go to Colburn Shoe Store – reportedly the oldest shoe store in America (that is still running is my guess).

Yes, I decided I wanted a new pair of shoes. I have bought shoes from Colburn before and have had good experiences with them. My salesperson, though harried, pointed me to a great pair of shoes that I put on and then bought. So excited! I like having happy feet.
After getting the shoes, I had a slice of pizza from the local pizza place. Their crust is in between fluffy and thin. I got to pick my own ($1.50!) slice when the slice pizza came out of the oven. I was a little greedy and selfish and took the piece with the most pepperoni on it. Yum!
Back at the house, I plugged my car in and have done some reading. J&P wanted to go see Hamilton tonight, so we are doing that. I am not overly excited, as I hate (that’s too strong a word) Alexander Hamilton. Purely for political reasons. But I have heard good things about the show. The movie of the show ought to be decent. I hope.
And it was.
We went to Darby’s Pub for a bite to eat before the movie. P and I shared a veggie burger that was decent. And J and I ate a good bunch of popcorn during the movie of the play.
About Hamilton – I still don’t like the man. But, I will have to read more about him. The show was really well done. It took me a good 20 minutes to get my ears around the music and the words. I might have to watch it again but with closed captioning turned on. The set was great. Costumes, Great. Lighting Great. Direction and choreography great. I had been under the impression that the whole show was rapped. But it wasn’t. There were quite a few more lyrical numbers. All in all, I’m glad I went. Now I guess I need to see a live production of it. One day perhaps.
It is late and I need to go get this posted. One of the problems with being on vacation, especially with other people, is that my routine gets messed with. But that’s ok. Variety is good.
Augustus for President – Just kept telling people I am running for president. And I decided, after watching Hamilton, that reading a few biographies of the main founding fathers might be a good thing.
