I wonder what the world would look like if people could see other wavelengths. I mean, there are so many signals winging through the air at all times. It would be cool and bizarre!

Anyway, it was a one dash day. It could have been a two dash day, but I did well enough during my first dash that I decided a second dash, though probably profitable, was not how I wanted to spend my time. So, I stayed home. The weather was also a bit of a deterrent since it was raining intermittently. And got colder. Brrr.
After my dash, I ate some lunch and started trying to work through all of the reminders I had lying around. Since I might (probably will) be out galavanting tomorrow most of the day (drives for people in the morning and then to Syracuse to throw axes with a friend) I need to get as much done today as I can. And I did. I feel like I accomplished a good amount of stuff. Not only for my daily life, but also for Presidential stuff.
So, what did I do? I moved forward with my banking surrounding my car. The bank said, somewhere, that I could get a discount if I opened a bank account with them and had my payments taking directly and automatically from that account. I think that they said it would be .25% reduction, which could add up to a whopping $31 over the course of the loan. Probably not worth it in that case. I might call them and ask. And I am still considering asking the Finger Lakes Credit Union if they can give me a better deal on the car loan. We shall see. That whole process took longer than I thought it would.
I also helped SM with some invites to a political event. As is often the case, I needed to hurry up and do it because her deadline was short. Poo. I hate doing things under pressure for other people. I don’t mind putting myself under that sort of pressure, but I don’t enjoy it when it is for someone else. I got the work done before I kick into evening mode, though it wasn’t my best effort.
My reminder list had a few items on it about moving things around, which were accomplished. I also had calling another handyman about possibly doing the gravel in my front yard since JM has not responded to any of my messages. I hope that he and his are ok. It is frustrating though, the lack of communication. I left a message for the new guy but haven’t heard back.
I used one of my many printers (I now have three plugged in) to scan some docs and got those documents sent off. And I wrote a few emails.
EC gave me two cameras as she tries to cull her belongings a bit. One didn’t function even after I put new batteries in it. It was a digital camera, so I checked out the card and didn’t see any pictures on there that I think anyone would want. The other uses a special battery that I don’t have (Photo 123 from Energizer) so I will have to figure out what to do about that. Maybe there is a camera place around here that has a single battery I can try. There is a roll of film in there, so I want to get the camera working, take pictures until the roll is finished and then print the pictures to see what is on there! She also gave me a bunch of other stuff that is going straight to the attic for now. I will deal with that later. Hahahaha sure I will…I will probably be leaving it for whoever I leave the house to.
I’m sure there was more stuff.
Well, yes, there was. Augustus for President stuff which I will write about below. And hey, please, please please take the time to take the surveys. The more responses, the happier!
Augustus for President: At least the people at the Campaign website respond quickly. I asked them if I could use WordPress to edit the site – they eventually said no. They also did not tell me how to make buttons. And they pointed at their teeny editor as a wysiwyg web page editor. Sigh. I still have lots more to do there – like enabling donations/contributions. They recommend Stripe. Not sure why, but I will look into it. I have used it in conjunction with some job or other I think. According to my passowrds list I have a password for the site.
I did lots of little things for the campaign today. One biggish thing I did was to start to figure out the order of Capitals that I want to visit when I take the first whirlwind Augustus for President tour of the US in February. I did what I thought might work. Or rather, I got about 2/3 of the way through. Then I had an Aha moment and asked an AI to give me the best list. It looked decent. I will probably tweak it further. But a whole country tour is definitely doable. Obviously, since I have done it before. I then searched to see if there were websites where I could plan trips with more than 50 stops and there are a slew of them. So I might try one of them at some point.
What is stopping you from taking the surveys? I am so confused. They are very short and very easy. Imho of course.
