Welcome to a Sunday blog. It seems to me that Sunday blogs tend to be a mish mosh of thoughts and ideas that somehow either haven’t made it into previous blogs during the week or are just things that seem interesting to me. Lucky you!

First off – tipping delivery drivers. It seems to me that one’s tipping ought to reflect not only the amount of the order and the distance that the driver travels to get you your stuff, but should also reflect the weather. Tip extra when the weather isn’t optimal. Raining? Add a dollar. Freezing? Add a dollar. Snowing? Add two dollars. Imho

There are some Chinese people that I simply don’t understand. They start to speak Chinese and my brain just refuses to parse what they are saying. Often this is because they are speaking Mandarin with a thick accent. Other times its because they speak too quickly and are using too many words that are not in the forefront of my Chinese brain. It is frustrating. And since I am mostly speaking Chinese when I am in a hurry, that doesn’t help…

I did not finish cataloguing the books last night. After I made and ate dinner, I just sat and watched more of a weird show called AP Bio. Has anyone else seen this? It is ok but I am not loving it. The lead character just sin’t likable most of the time. I’m in the second season of four. So, I will aim to finish the books today. There aren’t that many. Maybe 20 more and then I am done. It just takes doing it. (All done – up to 1200 books catalogued. Red Room bookshelf next…)

What does it mean to be an interesting person? When I glimpse hurriedly at my past, I know that I have, so far, led a pretty amazing life. Yay. But recently? I mean, yes, going to Las Vegas was cool and fun. And earlier in the year the trip to Colombia and Panama was interesting. How often do I need to do adventures of some scope, to still be considered interesting? And what is interesting to one person, might not be interesting to anyone else. Sigh.

There are these tokens that one can buy to keep track of where one has traveled. They would be cool if they weren’t so expensive – $10 a pop. So for the 50 states and the 30+ countries that I have visited, that would be $530 just to collect the tokens for what I have already done. That’s a decent chunk of change. For nothing much, really. Just thinking “out loud.”

It is night now and I am getting a bit peckish. Though a weird pain has resurfaced. Every once in a while, I have a pain in my jaw that I don’t understand. It’s where teeth have been removed. I worry that I might have cancer or an abcess or something. It only hurts sometimes. Often just a little. At other times it can be briefly quite debilitating. No bueno. But it usually passes after a few days of being weird. I have no idea what causes it or why it stops. One day, maybe, I will look into it more. But that day is not today.

Somehow I forgot to do my Duolingo this morning. How weird is that? So when I logged in just now, I was surprised that I hadn’t done it. Hmm.

I got a panicked message from SM saying that she couldn’t access her email. I went over there and helped. I couldn’t see the problem. Worked fine for me. Don’t you hate it when tech support people say that? Anyway, she is leaving for a bit tomorrow, so I told her not to worry about it more until she came back. We got her boarding pass all sorted out so that was a good thing. But there went my 0 people day plan. Sigh.

Tonight will be leftovers from Anorah and a side salad. Not exciting, but makes me happy to whittle away at all the food I have in the kitchen. Tomorrow, though, I might make a trip to the grocery store and pick up all the stuff I will need for my Thanksgiving feast-let on Thursday. Get that out of the way. And hav a sort of Chinese meal for dinner.

Tuesday is end of month Bill paying. And before we know it, it will be December and I haven’t done a thing about getting presents for J and P. Sigh.

Ok, eating now.
